Winter bridal session - The Brindi by Rivini

In January my friend Nicole said to me, “If you ever want do to a winter bridal shoot I’d model for you.” I’d been dying to put together a little session in the country snow so the planning began.

Ashton Station Bridal kindly allowed us to borrow a gown from their gorgeous boutique so one evening we drove out to Carleton Place to make the selection. The Brindi by Rivini was the first gown Nicole tried on and we all knew it was the one, although, like all brides she still tried on several more before we made the final decision. I had an idea of what I wanted the shoot to look like of course but so much depends on the gown and how it fits that I still had an open mind in case another gown suited her even better.

A few days later with a gorgeous bouquet from Bloomfields Flowers and Nicole’s make-up and hair professionally styled by Tracy Balcom, Nicole, my two brave assistants Mary and Rachael and I jumped in the car and drove to Gatineau Park to create these pictures.

I was over-the-moon thrilled when they were quickly accepted by The Wedding Chicks to be featured on the front page of their incredible blog so I waited until after their post to feature my favorites.

Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone who made this shoot a huge success.

On the way home the sun started to set so I had to pull off the road and capture this gorgeous light.
