If I could be a guest at Kelsie and Dane’s wedding I would have an amazing time. These two are fun, funny and full of life and I can’t wait to see them tie the knot this summer.

This year we were asked to photograph the Ottawa Gala. What a night!
The theme was A Night Under the Stars and the Government of Canada Conference Centre was transformed by an incredible group of volunteers, into a heavenly Greek dream complete with constellations, statues, and an Acropolis dance floor which pumped all night to the tunes of DJ Acro. Kenny B from Hot 89.9 got the party started and kept guests up-to-date on the Senators game (thankfully they won!) and tons of sponsors donated incredible prizes to support the cause.
Active since 1993, the Fund for a New Generation is a not-for-profit organization that supports Ottawa’s underprivileged children and youth by hosting an annual gala event. This dedicated group of young professionals from the private, public and university sectors is committed to helping those most in need by supporting initiatives that help build a brighter future for today’s generation and tomorrow’s future leaders.

Rina and Frank’s first date lasted 13 hours.
First they met for coffee, then they went for a walk, a really long walk. Then they decided to go for dinner, then a drink, and a movie. Finally, they choose to never be apart again.
On the day they eloped we revisited each spot and told their story in photos. We are so lucky to have shared this day with them. Congratulations you two. If you could bottle happiness it would look like your love. xo

If you haven’t seen Sara Roeder’s incredible blog it’s a must-see for all those wedding-obsessed and who just plain ‘ol like pretty things. I’m totally honoured to have Jasmine and Tom’s engagement session as my first post here.
Thanks so much Sara! I love love love Aisle Candy.
Originally, I planned this shoot to be another bouquet experiment, a few photos I’d take in my home, no big deal.
Then I saw my friend Marielle wearing this great outfit and the shoot became a whole lot more. A little bit Alice in Wonderland, a little bit Virgin Suicides mixed with a wee bit of Rue from the Hunger Games, doncha think?
Florals created by me and with a little help from my friends at Bloomfields Flowers; Flowers also purchased from Tivoli; Ribbon from Paper Papier
