Congrats you two!
Joey and Katie are adorable and their wedding is just around the corner in January!
Their engagement session was on one those incredible fall days that kept on coming this year and we took full advantage of it by dancing in the park as the sun set.
Warning: If you don’t want to be tempted by a beautiful newborn do not look at the following photos.
Little Ella is adorable personified. She has two very lucky parents and I’m pretty sure they know it. We had the best of both worlds during our session with a wide awake baby and a sleeping beauty who apparently carried that sleeping through long after I left – good job Ella! Your first photo session was a huge success.
Last February Brittany won the AMBphoto engagement session prize at the Posh Wedding Show and we celebrated with deliciously fabulous martinis. I was really excited to hear from her this fall and finally get to meet her sweet fiance, Greg. This is what happened next.
Congratulations Krista and Robin for having Urban Craft featured in the Ottawa Citizen. I’m thrilled that my photos are alongside your genius.
Everyone, make sure to check it out Urban Craft tomorrow from 10-2 at the GCTC.
Rachael looooves Canadians politics. She used to work on Parliament Hill and treasured walking through the grand old halls so steeped in secrets and history.
Nick loooooves Rachael so it made perfect sense for his proposal to take place in front (well, just off to the side) the eternal flame. So we had to go there to take their engagement photos but since it was Fall we also wanted to get some Fall foliage in the mix and even threw in a visit to the beach.
I have a vested interest in these two, not only because I’m photographing their wedding but because Rachael is also my friend. She’s helped me out on shoots, listened to me talk endlessly about photography and offered priceless advice that has both calmed me down and helped me make big decisions. I’m so excited for her and Nick, and photographing their wedding next year is going to be a major highlight of my wedding season.
I didn’t really know Nick before the engagement session but now I sure do and seeing the two of them together made my heart glow. He loves that girl and they’re going to have a great year planning their wedding. After our session Nick had planned a romantic dinner in the Byward Market to mark their first real wedding event. He’s thoughtful and sweet and they make a perfect pair.
Thanks for the awesome fun session you two. Let the rest of the planning begin!
Buttons and lace, burlap and baby’s breath, Dani and Ben’s wedding was a perfect blend of old and new.
From all the joy and excitement when of the girls getting ready, to the sweet “first look”, the touching ceremony with music sung and played by Danielle’s sisters and the fabulous cocktail at the Officer’s Mess, I’m not sure it could have been any better. Nope, I’m pretty sure it couldn’t have. I was also super excited to photograph these two because earlier in the summer I had photographed the groom’s sister’s wedding and couldn’t wait to see some this close bunch of friends again.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing a bride and groom together alone after they say their I do’s. I hope I don’t make anyone blush here but Ben is so soft and sweet with Danielle, my heart melted reliving these moments while putting together this blog post. And the details! I’m not sure how they did it all themselves but the combination of burlap and baby’s breath was just perfection. I’m a sucker for vintage touches and they were everywhere – yea!
Congratulations you two we’re so happy for you.
